European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen has called for EU member states to approve new sanctions against Belarus for its role in the current migration crisis on Poland’s eastern border.
A special session of parliament will be held this afternoon to discuss the situation on the Poland-Belarus border, where large groups of migrants camped overnight after thousands gathered yesterday on the Belarus side.
