UK Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, has announced an end to some of his nation’s coronavirus lockdown measures. In a televised address late on Sunday, Mr Johnson revealed the UK would be reopening some public spaces and lifting limits on exercise and outdoor time.

In a major re-election campaign speech, Poland’s president yesterday outlined a plan for more aid to the unemployed, including a special allowance to workers who lose their jobs due to the coronavirus crisis.

The Polish health minister has announced that Poles will have to wear masks or scarves covering their nose and mouth when out in public from next Thursday. The minister said the move was aimed to help those around us, rather than ourselves.

According to a Downing Street spokesman, the UK Prime Minister began having breathing issues after being admitted to hospital on Sunday and was transferred to the ICU of St. Thomas’ hospital yesterday evening. Johnson is reportedly not connected to a ventilator and is still conscious, but his duties have been temporarily taken over by Foreign Minister Dominic Raab.
