A spokesman for the Polish secret services has stated that the Belarusian services organize and cover attacks by migrants on the border with Poland. In an interview with TVP Info on Sunday, he pointed out that the officers not only provide foreigners with equipment and footbridges to facilitate crossing the fence, but also take direct actions aimed at the Polish side. From the beginning of the year, the Polish Border Guard have recorded 37,600 attempts to illegally cross the Polish-Belarusian border. In November alone there were 8,500 such attempts.

In response to the crisis on the eastern border, the European Union will strengthen its partnership with NATO.
This was announced in Vilnius by the head of the European Commission. Ursula von der Leyen, together with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, who both met with the Lithuanian authorities on Sunday. Security issues in the region and the situation on the European Union’s eastern border with Belarus were discussed in the capital Vilnius. In the late afternoon, Stoltenberg and von der Leyen met in Riga with the Prime Minister of Latvia.

Germany is trying to convince American congressmen not to impose new sanctions against Nord Stream 2, says the Axios portal, publishing an unofficial document of the German embassy in the US.
In it, the institution argues that the sanctions will be a „victory for Putin” and presents the possible scope of actions against Russia. According to Axios, the document given to members of Congress is an attempt to dissuade them from adopting new restriction clauses against Nord Stream 2 under the new defense budget.

And finally, the Polish Navy celebrated its anniversary yesterday. Exactly 103 years ago, Marshal Józef Piłsudski issued a decree ordering the creation of the Polish Navy.
At noon in front of the Polish Maritime Monument in Gdynia, various ceremonies ended with a parade. The sailors prepared a picnic and a number of ships were made available to visitors. The mine-hunting ship the ORP Kormoran was the most popular attraction.
