Head of the Pentagon: „we are exerting full pressure to fulfil Ukraine’s requirements”

Lloyd Austin, the United States Secretary of Defense, has said that „we” are exerting „full pressure” to ensure that Ukraine is supplied with tanks and armoured vehicles per requirements of the war. The Secretary of Defense made the statement following the meeting of the Ukraine Defence Contact Group in the US airbase in Ramstein, Germany. Austin sought to heal rifts appearing among allies by reducing the significance of Leopard tanks, delayed by German opposition. He said that success in Ukraine is not dependent on just one military platform. He also emphasized that Germany remains a „reliable ally”.
