Poland is set to produce one hundred military vehicles for Ukraine in a deal agreed with the EU, US and Ukraine.

Speaking at an armaments plant in the south of the country yesterday, the Polish PM said that Ukraine had ordered one hundred Rosomak armoured personnel carriers from Poland and that the Polish plant would handle the order. The purchase will be financed using European and American funds designed to support Ukraine’s war effort against Russia. The order for the Polish Rosomaks was placed on Friday by the Ukrainian Prime Minister.

Poland’s flagship child benefit programme called „500 Plus” has helped strengthen families and enhance their wellbeing, the government has said as the scheme entered its 8th year of existence.

Saturday marked exactly seven years since the „Family 500+” initiative was launched by Poland’s ruling conservatives. Poland’s socially conservative Law and Justice government, which came to power in late 2015, aims to ease the burdens of child rearing by giving families with children a handout of PLN 500 a month per child. The Polish Prime Minister said in a social media message that the initiative aided parents nationwide and was an investment in the nation’s future.
