Facebook has reversed a decision that prevented a documentary film about a WWII Nazi German camp for Polish children from being promoted abroad after media coverage yesterday highlighted the decision. The makers of the film discovered that Facebook had blocked the film being promoted outside of Poland because Facebook considered it to be political.

Polish-US relations are based on solid foundations and nothing should disturb them in the years ahead, an aide to the Polish president said on Thursday. Polish government officials have called for the release of prominent Russian opposition activist Alexei Navalny after he was arrested while returning to Russia.

The Polish justice ministry has drawn up a bill which it says aims to protect freedom of speech on the internet and give users the right to appeal if their posts are removed. Under the bill, social media platforms would not be allowed either to block users or remove content if these do not violate Polish laws.
