Polska Akcja Humanitarna (PAH) has issued an urgent appeal for donations to aid Syrian refugees in the northwestern province of Idlib. Air raids in the past weeks have forced thousands to flee to the rebel-controlled province, straining resources in the already overcrowded refugee camps there.

Thousands of judges and legal professionals from Poland and around the EU took to the streets of Warsaw last Saturday as part of the silent “March of a Thousand Togas.” The protest was in reaction to proposed judicial reforms, including disciplinary measures for „obstructive” judges, passed by the Polish Sejm (lower house) on December 20th.
