Ukraine’s ambassador to Warsaw has hailed Poland’s involvement in upcoming peace talks being hosted by Ukraine’s president.
Polish Deputy Foreign Minister on Monday confirmed that Poland would join multinational talks in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia this weekend to discuss peace in Ukraine. Ukraine and its allies aim to rally global support for a peace blueprint in talks hosted by Saudi Arabia this weekend. Officials from some 40 countries are set to discuss key principles that would underpin any peace settlement to end Russia’s war in Ukraine. The 10-point formula for a peace settlement includes calls for the full restoration of Ukraine’s territorial integrity, a full withdrawal of Russian troops, the protection of food and energy supplies, nuclear safety and the release of prisoners.

Positioning the country at the vanguard of the AI revolution, a Polish distillery has taken a groundbreaking step to appoint what it claims to be the world’s first AI CEO.
In an exclusive feature posted earlier this week, the British tabloid The Daily Mail ran an interview with Mika, a human-like robot incorporated with AI which had been hired by a Polish global spirits company as its chief executive officer. The firm, rum producer Dictador, was founded in 1913 in Colombia but has been under Polish ownership for the past 14 years. The company is now headquartered in southern Poland.

Italian rider Mattia Cattaneo has won the sixth stage of this year’s Tour de Pologne, Poland’s largest cycling race.
The fastest Pole, Michał Kwiatkowski, who won the 2018 Tour de Pologne, finished eighth in Katowice on Thursday, 21 seconds behind the winner. The last leg of the 80th Tour de Pologne sees cyclists cover a 166.6 km route starting in the industrial city of Zabrze, in Poland’s southern Silesia region, and ending in the historic city of Kraków today.

And finally, an historic fortress in Gdańsk is undergoing extensive renovations which have started recently.
The Wisłoujście Fortress which dates as far back as the 14th century is located on the Martwa Wisła river on the outskirts of the town has been managed by the Gdańsk museum since the 1970s. Work started in 2021 and is progressing well according to the director of the museum. During the works the museum is closed at different times. Part of the aim of the renovation works is to ensure that the fortress becomes a space in which to tell the story of historical events that happened there, as well as the restoration of its architecture and fabric.
