Poland’s Ruling Party Wins Parliamentary Election, Opposition Gains Majority
Poland’s ruling conservatives have won the country’s parliamentary election, but will not be able to muster a majority in the new parliament, paving the way for the opposition to take power, according to provisional data announced by electoral officials on Monday.
Exit polls from yesterday’s parliamentary elections in Poland show the ruling conservative Law and Justice (PiS) party winning the most seats in parliament but not a majority, potentially paving the way for the opposition to take power.
Poland’s military has officially evacuated over 1500 civilians from Israel and West Bank since the escalation of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict on October 7th. The evacuees include both Polish citizens and other foreign nationals. The rescue operation has been designated „Operation Neon” by Poland’s General Headquarters of the Armed Forces.

In the most recent development of the decades old conflict between Israel and Palestine, 5,000 rockets as well as Palestinian infantry have penetrated the Israeli border. There have been several multinational casualties recorded on both sides, however, none so far have been Polish citizens.
