Final Appeals to Voters Ahead of Tomorrow’s UK Election

In the United Kingdom, political parties are making their final push to win votes before the general election tomorrow.

The Conservative party led by Boris Johnson is pushing their main message of „Get Brexit Done” while Labour is focusing on issues like healthcare and ambitious plans for public spending.

Both of the two main parties were hit by controversy this week. First, Conservative leader Boris Johnson faced criticism for his reaction to a viral photo apparently showing a sick four-year-old boy laying on the floor of a hospital with no bed.

On Tuesday it was Labour’s turn to land in hot water when their would-be health minister was recorded criticising party leader Jeremy Corbyn and saying the party’s chances were „dire”.

British voters will go to the polls on Thursday for the third election in five years. Currently, the Conservatives hold a strong lead in the opinion polls, but recent election results have shown how frequently the polls can get it wrong.

However, the city of Gdansk has protested the merger, send an appeal for politicians to oppose the plans.

In a statement released on its website, the city administration said the merger would damage the economy and result in an outflow of high-skilled jobs and talent from Gdansk.

PKN Orlen has also been hoping to absorb Gdansk-based oil company Lotos for some years now.
