Polish football fans are in good spirits after Poland managed a 1:1 draw against Spain last night in their second group match of the European Football Championships. While the Spaniards struck first with a goal by Alvar Morata in the 25th minute, the “killer” Polish captain, Robert Lewandowski, was able to equal the score with a brilliant header in the 54th minute of the match.
The draw keeps Poland’s qualification hopes alive, though the team remains at the bottom of Group E, one point behind Spain. Poland will now return to Russia to face the Swedes on Wednesday in Saint Petersburg in the last round of Group E games. Slovakia will also be facing off against Spain on Wednesday; both matches are set to kick off at 18:00 CET.

The Danish Environmental Protection Agency has given the green light to continue works on a strategic gas pipeline connecting Poland with Norway via Denmark.
The “Baltic Pipe” project is designed to bring Norway’s offshore natural gas from the North Sea through Denmark to Poland in a bid to diversify Poland’s natural gas supplies and reduce energy dependence on Russia.
Construction was temporarily halted last May due to environmental concerns related to impacts on protected wildlife. The pipeline was originally due to be completed in autumn of 2022 but may be delayed by three months, according to Danish operator Energinet.
