A new date for US President Donald Trump’s postponed visit to Poland will be announced in the coming days, according to a spokesman for the Polish president.
Trump had been due to arrive in Warsaw last weekend for events to mark 80 years since the start of World War II, but he cancelled at the last minute, saying he needed to monitor Hurricane Dorian as it approached Florida’s eastern coastline.
Trump also said at the time that he would be rescheduling his trip to Poland „in the near future.”
„Donald Trump wants to come to Poland this autumn”, the spokesperson said. He also said that Duda and Trump were likely to meet during the Polish president’s planned visit to the United States later this month.
During that visit, which is due to begin on September 21, Duda is scheduled to attend a meeting of the United Nations Security Council in New York.

Construction starts of Museum of Westerplatte and the War of 1939
Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki laid the cornerstone of the new Museum of Westerplatte and the War of 1939 in Gdańsk on Sunday.
The cornerstone laying ceremony took place after the 80th anniversary commemorations of the outbreak of World War II at the famous monument to the defenders of the coast at Westerplatte. Because the exact location of the Museum is still undecided, the stone laying was symbolic.
During the ceremony the prime minister said that Poland has to seek the truth and fight for it and that after the fall of communism in 1989, there was little willingness to fight for this truth or to remind Poland’s future generations of it.
The president signed a law on the construction of the Museum on the 2nd August.
