A 21-year-old US intelligence operative has been arrested after a series of embarrassing and sensitive, top secret US government files were released to the public.

Classified US documents surfaced online 4 days ago, including information on Ukraine’s air defences. US officials have been scrambling to identify the source of the leak and today a 21-year-old air national guardsman.

Early reports suggested the source could be an American, in view of the range of documents published. Speaking on his trip to Dublin on Thursday, US President Joe Biden sought to downplay the significance of the leak for US relations.

Europe’s first space mission to Jupiter which features a significant contribution from Poland, has been delayed by bad weather after the takeoff was aborted yesterday.

The European Space Agency’s Jupiter Icy Moons Explorer spacecraft, nicknamed Juice, was set to be launched on the Ariane 5 rocket from Europe’s Spaceport in French Guiana. Weather conditions showed there was a risk of lightning to the mission that aims to establish if the planet’s moons could sustain life. The mission control will attempt another take off today.

Worth EUR 1.6 billion, Juice features scientific and technical contributions from twenty-three countries, including a notable contribution from Poland.
