Recent reports from the British Defense Ministry and the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces indicate that new Russian reservists are arriving in Ukraine without proper equipment or gear.

Some reservists reportedly arrived dressed partially in civilian clothing, with the British Defence Ministry stating that “many [Russian ed.] reservists are likely required to purchase their own body armor.”

In its daily update, the UK ministry claimed that “endemic corruption and poor logistics remain one of the underlying causes of Russia’s poor performance in Ukraine.”

Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Saturday that his country should finish calling up reservists in two weeks, signaling an end to a divisive mobilization that has seen tens of thousands of Russian men flee the country.

Poland has donated 150 Starlink internet terminals to Ukraine according to the head of the Chancellery of the Prime Minister, Michał Dworczyk.

In a post on Twitter, Dworczyk claimed that the terminals were installed mainly in towns in the Kharkiv region, and “thanks to them, connectivity is being restored in areas liberated from Russian occupation.”

The announcement came after reports that Elon Musk, CEO of SpaceX, had asked the US Pentagon to compensate the company for the Starlink donations, and after Musk announced on Friday that the company could not continue funding its Starlink internet service in Ukraine.

The Ukrainian government has repeatedly stated that internet access via Starlink has been a vital communication tool in the fight against Russia.

After public outcry pointing to Musk’s multibillion-dollar net worth and the percentage of Starlink transport and operating costs funded by public entities like USAID, Musk later reversed course and announced yesterday that SpaceX would continue to support internet services via Starlink as one of its “good deeds.”
