Protests are continuing in the United States this week against coronavirus lockdown measures. Across the country, groups have been calling for state governments to relax lockdowns and return to business. In some states, protesters blocked roads and demonstrated with placards calling for the economy to be reopened.
Sirens sounded at noon yesterday in Warsaw to commemorate the 77th anniversary of the outbreak of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising, which began April 19, 1943, and lasted until May 16th of the same year.
The Chinese city of Wuhan, where the coronavirus is thought to have originated from has had its official death toll raised by almost 50% yesterday amid concerns that the Chinese authorities have not been transparent in their reporting of the impact of coronavirus in the country.

The number of worldwide deaths attributed to Coronavirus reached 100,000 yesterday as the number of cases globally reached 1.6 million. The Polish health minister has announced that Poles will have to wear masks or scarves covering their nose and mouth when out in public from next Thursday. The minister said the move was aimed to help those around us, rather than ourselves.
